 ertificate or equivalent with a pass of at least 5 subjects that must yiel
 d a score of at least 25 points on the Namibia University of Science and T
 echnology (NUST) Evaluation Scale\, including a minimum E symbol in Englis
 h. Applicants who do not meet the General Admission Requirements\, but at 
 least have a Junior Certificate or equivalent qualification can contact us
  to apply for admission through the mature age entry scheme.\nProgramme Co
 ntent \nDuring the programme\, you will be equipped to demonstrate an unde
 rstanding of the difference between management skills and leadership compe
 tencies. You will learn to take responsibility for getting work done throu
 gh teams\, to communicate effectively verbally and in writing\, to plan sh
 ort- and long-term goals\, and to define work objectives and delegate effe
 ctively. Participants will be required to complete various individual assi
 gnments.\nExit Programme (Qualification) Outcomes\n\n\nUpon successful com
 pletion of the programme students will be able to:\nApply basic principles
  of accounting and finance in the work environment\;\nCompile a budget and
  control its implementation\;\nEnsure compliance with organisational polic
 ies\, procedures and relevant legislation\;\nLead and supervise staff effi
 ciently and effectively to enhance performance\;\nTake responsibility for 
 personal and team development\; and\nApply foundational principles of proc
 ess and project management.\n\n\nProgramme Design and Delivery Modules\nTh
 is programme consists of 6 courses that will be delivered on a block relea
 se basis\, i.e. 6 blocks (1 week block every month) over a period of 6 mon
 ths. Students are also required to attend a compulsory 3-day orientation s
 ession at the beginning of the programme.\nModules\n\n\nBusiness Communica
 tion\;\nBasic Finance for Supervisors\;\nOperations Management\;\nFundamen
 tals of Management \;\nFundamentals of Leadership and People Management:\n
 Introduction to Process and Project Management.\n\n\nAssessment\nModules w
 ill be assessed using diversified continuous assessment methods including 
 tests\, assignments\, projects and presentations.\nCertification\nThe Nami
 bia University of Science and Technology’s Certificate in Supervisory Deve
 lopment is designed for registration at NQF level 5.\nTerms and conditions
 \nA course will be offered if we have a minimum of 10 participants per cou
 rse. Full payment is required before a course starts. Any cancellations mu
 st be received in writing\, no later than 5 working days prior to the star
 t date. Cancellations received less than 5 days prior to course date will
