Target Audience
Supervisors, team leaders and new managers are invited to enroll for this programme that will enhance their basic management and leadership skills.
Admission Requirements
Applicants should have a grade 12 certificate or equivalent with a pass of at least 5 subjects that must yield a score of at least 25 points on the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) Evaluation Scale, including a minimum E symbol in English. Applicants who do not meet the General Admission Requirements, but at least have a Junior Certificate or equivalent qualification can contact us to apply for admission through the mature age entry scheme.
Programme Content
During the programme, you will be equipped to demonstrate an understanding of the difference between management skills and leadership competencies. You will learn to take responsibility for getting work done through teams, to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, to plan short- and long-term goals, and to define work objectives and delegate effectively. Participants will be required to complete various individual assignments.
Exit Programme (Qualification) Outcomes
Programme Design and Delivery Modules
This programme consists of 6 courses that will be delivered on a block release basis, i.e. 6 blocks (1 week block every month) over a period of 6 months. Students are also required to attend a compulsory 3-day orientation session at the beginning of the programme.

Assessment
Modules will be assessed using diversified continuous assessment methods including tests, assignments, projects and presentations.
Certification
The Namibia University of Science and Technology’s Certificate in Supervisory Development is designed for registration at NQF level 5.
Terms and conditions
A course will be offered if we have a minimum of 10 participants per course. Full payment is required before a course starts. Any cancellations must be received in writing, no later than 5 working days prior to the start date. Cancellations received less than 5 days prior to course date will be subject to full payment.
